Meet the Doctor: Dr. Nicholas Pregont


Dr. Pregont, a native of Wausau, WI, is a 2004 graduate of National University of Health Sciences just outside Chicago, Illinois.  It was at NUHS that Dr. Pregont earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree.  During this time that he also became certified in custom orthotic fitting, golf fitness, and kinesiotaping. Dr. Pregont also earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology at NUHS.

While attending chiropractic school, Dr. Pregont worked as a massage therapist for 2 years at Butler National Golf Club.  He feels his time as a massage therapist helped him dramatically improve his recognition and treatment of soft tissue injuries.

Dr. Pregont received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training at Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL).  While at Elmhurst, he worked as a student trainer for the football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, wrestling, and baseball teams.  This allowed him to examine and rehabilitate a wide variety of injuries.  Dr. Pregont also served as an athletic trainer at Michael Jordan’s basketball camp which is held at Elmhurst College. 

Dr. Pregont was a member of the baseball team at Elmhurst College.  In his first year, they were conference champions for the first time in 12 years.  Dr. Pregont still enjoys playing baseball, golf, and officiating ice hockey.

Most of all, Dr. Pregont enjoys spending time with his wife, Ann, and their son Evan.  “This is truly the most rewarding time of my life.”
